Backup your Internet Explorer Settings

So we just had a post on backing up your Firefox settings So here we are with another post on how to backup your Internet Explorer Settings on special request by Siddarth. We have a lot of customization for Firefox but Internet Explorer being a Microsoft proprietary is less customizable than Firefox

So I had to check my freeware junk box as I had once used this little app. to backup my IE settings. So this is what it is called: BackRex Internet Explorer Backup. This little app does all the good work that is needed for IE backup
So this little application has all that is needed to save the settings for Internet Explorer. As you can see in the pictures it has four options: backup, restore, Scheduling of backup and roll back after restoring a saved profile. It saves the following information about IE :
  • Favorites
  • Proxy & connection settings
  • Security zones
  • User customizations
  • Cookies
  • History
  • Dialup accounts
  • Form Autocomplete entries
I would also recommend you to keep the little check box on "make a self extracting archive checked" as it makes an executable for easy restore of options ;) (Click on pics to get a fuller view)
So no need to leave your favorites in IE, back them up now!!!
