The poster boy of Indian ecommerce Flipkart is celebrating the first anniversary of its Digital Music Store ‘Flyte’ this month. Flipkart had launched ‘Flyte’ as an initiative (or an iTunes competitor in India) for legal music downloads in India, last year. And a year and lakhs of downloads later, Flipkart is celebrating the birthday by giving a hundred albums free a day.
Flipkart – the Indian online megastore has been under a lot of news, whether it is related to their ‘Awesome’ customer service, the mega funding rounds or even if it is their TV advertisements.They have been scaling very fast lately, but as they aim to become, ‘Amazon of India’ the larger threat of entry but they global biggies looms large. It has created an interactive shooting game that not only keeps you frantically clicking your mouse but also gives you a score which you can share with your friends.
While surfing today through my college network, I was greeted by a webpage which I hadn’t seen over all my years using Google It stated that “Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network. This page checks to see if it's really you sending the requests, and not a robot.” and in order to continue you will have to fill the Captcha.
Facebook has been playing around with how the photographs look on their website. They had introduced Photo Theatre Feature back in Feb 2011. Since then it has been toying around with the photo viewer in small steps. Now it has announced that it would now support High Resolution photos too.
Well the timeline feature that Facebook launched was received with mixed reviews by the social media. Few loved it and few outright hated it, and yes there was no going back. Now the clock has come full circle with Facebook announcing that it would be implementing Timeline for Pages soon.
