Google does restrict traffic to search

While surfing today through my college network, I was greeted by a webpage which I hadn’t seen over all my years using Google It stated that “Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network. This page checks to see if it's really you sending the requests, and not a robot.” and in order to continue you will have to fill the Captcha.
