Hi5 in Hindi

Well there are many social networking sites apart from MySpace, Facebook and Orkut. For those who are uninitiated hi5 is the third largest social network around the world, after Facebook and  MySpace . Here are the Alexa Traffic Comparisons. Hi5 used to be a popular social network in India too, before it was surpassed by Orkut. Even going by its traffic it is not so popular in the US either, but has quite a large following outside it. Hi5 had been infact asking users to help in the translation tools since quite sometime now, and Finally they have released Multi-Language portal too.

They have added ten new languages to the portal namely : Hindi, Danish, British English, Finnish, Catalan, Macedonian, Slovakian, Spanish (Mexico ), Spanish (Colombia) and Swedish. As you can see these languages are in Beta, when you try and change language.

Hindi Translation is okay if not absolute good, but that can be expected from English being converted to an Indic Language. Good Move to say the least.
