Wordpress 2.6 released

Wordpress has released the version 2.6 of the immensely popular blogging platform. This is about a month ago from the schedule. There have been a slew of development features added to it. The best of the features added are the ones tracking any change made to posts and the post from anywhere features.

The Features added are :
  • Post Revisions: Track edits like wiki
  • Press This! : post from anywhere
  • Shift Gears: Integration with Google Gears
  • Theme Preview: Preview theme before making it live
  • Word Count
  • Image Captions
  • Gallery and Image updates
  • Plugin Update notification

    Hi

    And there now onto version 2.7.1! The thing I really like about Wordpress is the ease of upgrading from one version to another. Quite a contrast to the CMS I was using before (Xoops).
